Summary

Chapter 3 is titled “Hunger.” The doctor at the clinic asks for Freya's phone number. She assumes it is because she is Nathaniel's emergency contact and it makes her feel good to formally fill that role. Everyone in her life manages her, directing her on what to do, and she relishes the idea that someone is depending on her. Then the doctor makes it clear he is hitting on her.
