Chapter 28 Summary

Mr. Harris asks John if he's okay, or if he needs a nurse. Exhausted, and aware that they will have to start all over again, John realizes that he simply can't leave without saying goodbye. He makes a split second decision and without thinking about it, jumps through the window and as soon as his feet touch ground, he runs. He hears a scream of shock behind him, but doesn't stop. He reaches the woods and runs for home. Bernie Kosar is nowhere around, but at the table Mark James is sitting, trying to figure out what is going on. He asks John who the hell he is. On Henri's laptop is the same message as John just got. Mark asks him about the video, and when John reveals he has no idea what Mark is talking about, he plays it for him...
