The Witch

The Witch is a mysterious woman who lives in a run-down mansion in the middle of La Matosa. Not a lot about the Witch or her life is known; her age, her father, and even her real name are all details both the townspeople and the reader never learn. Though her mother does not confirm it, it is most likely that the Witch’s mother became pregnant with her as a result of multiple perpetrator rape. It is only after the Witch’s mother dies in a landslide does the Witch begin to make appearances in the town. As the townspeople learn of her existence, both old and new rumors begin to circulate around her life.
