Kathy drove south, chain smoking, wishing her brother Frank were there to squish that "Mideastern prick," also wondering whether Nick is back on the east coast. Her champagne hangover has worsened with the day, especially after visiting her lawyer. She now knows that all she can do is sue the county for damages in order to buy another house.
