Summary

The novel is narrated by the protagonist, Kikiola “Kiki” Banjo, in first-person past tense. Kiki was a second-year college student at Whitewell College in England. The book starts with Kiki making out with her secret hookup, Zack Kingsford, who she had been seeing for a few months. He was the most popular and hottest guy at school. However, Kiki was bored with him, so she broke things off with him. She never dated anyone publicly and she made it a habit of never letting herself develop feelings for anyone.
