Summary

In Chapter 22, seeing Tee waiting outside her house “felt like coming home” to Mickey (246). She had texted Tee saying they “needed to talk” (246). Although she felt close to her, Mickey still could not “attain and possess” Tee the way she wanted (247).

While out together, Mickey wondered if passersby had read her letter. Then she told Tee about it. Tee insisted they celebrate. They got drunk together. They went to Tee’s afterwards. Mickey mused on the end of their relationship. Tee assured her their relationship had been “very real” for her (251). They smoked weed and had sex. Mickey realized “she loved her” (254).
