Summary

Back at the electronics store, Parvaiz manages to get the shop owner alone and asks for a cell phone. He takes the phone and runs.

Flashing back to six months earlier, Parvaiz arrives in Raqqa where he sees decapitated heads on spikes before he is taken to an ISIS villa. He is now going by “Mohammad bin Bagram” - a reference to the place his father died (161). Farooq lends him a phone to call Aneeka, who tells him there are MI5 agents present at the house. Farooq takes Parvaiz's passport and leaves him there, claiming he has to get back to fighting.

Back in the present, Parvaiz waits to hear from Aneeka in an Istanbul cafe as he flips through a travel brochure about Leon Trotsky's house. She sends a text that she is on her way to the airport to come to...
