Chapter 5, Sections 7 and 8 Summary

Hatch, Lindsay and Regina are having dinner, though Hatch is having trouble eating for his worry. Lindsay has told Regina that Hatch would really appreciate being called "dad," though she urged the girl to do so when she felt the time was right. After supper, Hatch goes in to tell her goodnight and she does call him dad. Hatch doesn't make a big deal of it with Regina, knowing she's not comfortable with scenes, but as soon as he's in the bedroom he tells Lindsay, "She called me Dad." Lindsay immediately says, "Who did?" Hatch knows she's teasing him but replies that it was Regina, to which Lindsay asks how much Hatch had to pay her to get the little girl to say it.
