Maggie Bradford

Maggie Bradford is a famous singer accused of murder when the novel begins. Maggie begins writing the story of her life in order to figure out for herself if she is justly accused of this murder. The reader quickly learns that Maggie once killed her husband in order to protect herself from abuse. This history fuels speculation and accusations when Maggie's second husband, Will Shepard, is killed.
