Part Five: December 23, 1970: Chapters 30 - 35 Summary

A scream wakes the Barrett's from sleep and the second scream they recognize comes from Florence. They hurry to her room to find her on her back in bed with her arms across her chest. There are damp patches on her nightgown over each breast and underneath are two large bites, one on either side. She sobs, explaining that Belasco's son is punishing her. Ben shows up and Florence convinces him to help her exhume his body the next morning. Lionel is in no shape to help, but agrees reluctantly to be there.

The next morning Ben began working on the wine cellar wall with a crowbar. Lionel is about to leave when Ben notices a rope through the opening in the wall. He pulls on it until the whole wall slides to the right...
