Loyalty

Loyalty is one of the main themes in Heist Society by Ally Carter. Kat Bishop has grown up in a heist society - a family that is devoted to stealing. The family has expanded over the years to include people not related by blood, including Hale, Simon, and the Bagshaw brothers - Angus and Hamish.

Despite any differences that exist between any members of the family, there is always complete loyalty. Thieves must be able to count on each other 100% and 100% of the time. This is clearly shown through many examples. Perhaps the most obvious example relates to Kat and Gabrielle. The cousins are quite different. Kat is one of the boys while Gabrielle is all girl - a flirt and an opportunist.
