Darren

Darren is the main character of Heaven, My Home. Darren grew up in Texas and has an intense attachment and sense of place for his family homestead in Camilla. He does not love living in Houston, but it was a sacrifice her made for his wife, Lisa. Darren was raised by his two uncles, Clayton and William, although William left when he was young. Darren often looks out of older Black men. Darren tried to limit his drinking after coming back from Lark, but it has been hard seeing as alcohol is his main vice.

Darren is a Texas Ranger, a prestigious title, who also completed a few years of law school. He is often plagued by difficult decisions concerning right or wrong, just or unjust, forgiveness or unforgiving.
