Lady Catherine Pinkerton

Lady Catherine Pinkerton is the protagonist of Heartless. She is also called Catherine, Cath, and Lady Pinkerton. She is the heir to Rock Turtle Cove. Catherine has a passion for baking and hopes to open a bakery with her friend and maid Mary Ann. However, as a member of the gentry, her parents think it is improper for her to operate a business. Instead, they want her to marry the King of Hearts. Catherine meets Jest and feels an immediate attraction toward him. When the King asks Catherine if he can court her, she feels obligated to accept him because he is a nice man and she does not want to disappoint her parents. She hopes that she will be able to change the King’s mind about marrying her or find a way to be able to open her bakery without help from her parents...
