Part 3, Middle (Saul, Virginia, Carl, Saul, Virginia, Carl) Summary

Saul is with Virginia, and vey bothered by the turn of events. Virginia tries to comfort him. They overhear Ould-Harrad and Linbarger complaining about the Percells. Oakes has gotten sick and must be slotted once again, leaving Ould-Harrad in command of the mission. There are currently over a half-dozen diseases threatening the crew. Ould-Harrad is approving the rescue of the Newburn. Linbarger agrees to go if an all Ortho crew is selected. He deliberately insults Percells and Virginia attacks him physically. Oakes enters the meeting-room, alongside Matsudo, both of whom look very sick. Oakes places herself on the sleeping slab.
