Summary

Page 32 is just one picture, without a page number featuring the family van on the highway as it passes a scenic view with blue sky, trees, and a river. Raina explains how fifth grade started that September, and how her friends Jane and Nicole were in her class again, but also Michelle. Her teacher is Mr. Abrams, whom she had had for second grade as well. Mr. Abrams tells them that this year they will be presenting LDIs - which stand for lecture, demonstration or instruction on a topic of their choice. Raina immediately starts worrying about talking out loud in front of the class. But Mr. Abrams says they can do them in pairs, so Raina asks Jane to do theirs together. At lunch they think about what they could present on, and decide together to present on girl scouts.
