Chaps. 22-24 Summary

Chap. 22. Katsa and Po climb up into the mountains and stop at the inn on the way to the mountain pass into Monsea. The climate is cold, but there are small vacant huts for shelter along the way. Po remembers hiding in such a hut with his brother Silvern that saved them from a blizzard. Po remembers his mother telling him to hide his mindreading Grace and instead present himself as a Graced fighter, using his mindreading to master stronger opponents. Po's mother was afraid that her husband the king would use Po as a tool to aid his royal power. As Po and Katsa approach Monsea, Po becomes more anxious about the fate of Ashen his aunt and her daughter, Bitterblue.
