Darrow

Darrow au Rath is the main character and narrator of the novel “Golden Son” by Pierce Brown. Darrow is a twenty year-old who is immensely strong, courageous, and loyal. Formerly a Red but surgically transformed into a Gold, Darrow is secretly a member of the Sons of Ares, working to overthrow the Golds and bring freedom to all Colors. For the time being, Darrow nominally serves the House Augustus, pretending to be loyal to them but harboring anger and thoughts of revenge, for it is at their hands that his wife, Eo, died in the previous novel.
