The Outing Summary

The church has an outing every summer, usually on the Fourth of July so that everyone is off from work. The church invites the whole community, so there are often non-believers included in these trips. This year, John and Roy have invited their friend David and his mother. David often goes to church with the Grimes, but he is not a member of the congregation. The outing also happens to fall close to Sylvia's birthday, a young girl the three boys admire, so they plan to give her a gold platted butterfly brooch they bought for her together.
