Russel Middlebrook

Russel Middlebrook is a 16-year-old boy that attends Goodkind High School in a small town near Boise, Idaho. The big secret Russel is trying to keep is that he is gay. He has never been in a relationship with a guy or a girl and he is still a virgin. One night, in a chat room, he discovers that one of his classmates is also gay.

The other gay guy at Russel's school turns out to be one of the biggest jock, Kevin Land. Russel arranges a meeting with Kevin at the gazebo in a local park. Russel has two best friends, Min and Gunnar. When he tells Min that he and Kevin Land are gay, Min admits to being bisexual. Russel and his friends are the founding members of the Geography Club.
