Summary

Chapter 22. Dresden wakes, his injuries bandaged and a blood transfusion infusing through his arm. Dresden is surprised to still be alive, even if he is tied up with duct tape. He begins working the tape off and is almost free, except for the tape on his ankles, when Parker comes out of the garage office. Parker and another of his gang are arguing over whether or not Dresden should be kept alive. Parker insists he is keeping Dresden alive to satisfy a deal with Marcone, but the other thinks they should ignore Marcone’s desires. Parker subdues this other man and then comes into the garage where Dresden hides the state of his bindings and begins to engage Parker in conversation.
