Summary

At first the realm seemed ready to accept peace under the new reign of ten-year-old Aegon III and his bride Jaehaera. But then the northmen, led by Cregan Stark, arrived at court. They said the war was not over yet because not all the great lords had surrendered, and Casterly Rock and Oldtown still held half the realm’s gold, plus Storm’s End still had Jaehaera and could easily crown her queen if they chose. The Northmen arrested Corlys Velaryon because they suspected him of poisoning the king, which they considered a heinous action.
