Jealousy

Jealousy is one of the main themes in "Fallen Hearts" by V.C. Andrews. The majority of the jealousy between characters can be seen in the relationship between Heaven and her step-sister, Fanny. Heaven managed to break out of the poor region of the Willies and to receive an education and a way out of the poverty and hardships that plagued Fanny. Both children were sold by their father as youths and Fanny has always been jealous that Heaven seemed to get a much better deal.

Fanny spends her entire life being so jealous of Heaven that she is blinded to anything else.
