Chapters 6-10 Summary

Myron enters the Dragons locker room to find the team waiting for game time. While dressing for the game, Myron speaks with Kipper, one of the team's assistant coaches. Kipper informs him that the head coach, Donny Walsh is not really happy about Myron's being added to the team. Myron agrees that with the team headed to the playoffs, he will be a 'team player' and not do anything to jeopardize the chances of the Dragons. Kipper assures Myron that the chances of getting in the game are slim. Coach Walsh enters and gives the team a pep talk, and the players enter the court. Myron is overwhelmed briefly by thoughts of pain and loss. Finding Jessica in the stands, he realizes that she had never seen him play professionally, since they had met three short weeks before his injury.
