Evvie’s house in Calcasset is the main setting of the novel. Dean rents the apartment attached to the house from Evvie during his yearlong stay in Maine. This is where they get to know each other and begin their relationship. However, Evvie still views the house with memories from her past marriage with Tim. At the end of the novel, she sells the house.

Andy’s house, Calcasset, Maine, 2010s

Andy’s house is where Andy lives with his two daughters. Evvie and Dean both visit him there several times throughout the novel.

Compass Cafe, Calcasset, Maine, 2010s

Evvie and Andy regularly meet at the Compass Cafe for breakfast every Saturday. However, there is a stretch of time when they do not meet for breakfast after Andy begins dating Monica. Afterward, Evvie, Andy, and Monica meet there for breakfast.
