Chapter 8, The Holy Forest Summary

Caravaggio accidentally knocks a fuse off the table and Kip catches it. Caravaggio thinks this may mean he owes Kip his life. Caravaggio and Kip are no longer tense around each other and now Caravaggio talks about his past life as a thief, of how he would often speak to the people he was robbing when he got caught in their homes. Kip recalls a time when he was lowered into a pit where a bomb had landed and uses frozen oxygen to disable the fuse.
