Summary

Bo and Will spend more and more time together, studying for a test and even going to a church service together. They sit closely to one another in the break room when Mitch unexpectedly walks in. He is kind but demands to know if she likes Bo, to which she is honest and says yes. The two stop seeing each other, but Will is not entirely ready to start dating Bo. She is still self-conscious about the idea of being seen with him. She knows that she is “not going to be skinny anytime soon, and [she] shouldn’t care,” but she does, so Bo is made to wait (317).

Will texts Millie, Amanda, and Hannah to tell them that she cannot participate in the pageant. The thought of dating Bo and being made fun of next to him made her too self-conscious to...
