Summary

The chapter starts during the minute that Darlene arrived at the farm. Jackie took the new workers through a wide one-story building with two sections. The first section acted as a chicken coop, while the second section acted as a type of bedroom for the workers. In the bedroom, Jackie showed them to their beds, which consisted of very low quality mattresses with no sheets. Darlene asked Jackie if she could call Eddie, and Jackie explained that it was too late and offered her a hit of crack.
