Summary

Mrs Allerton and Tim are walking into the dining room of the boat when Mrs. Allerton tells Tim she asked Hercule Poirot to join them at their table. Tim gets mad at his mother, which shocks her. As Hercule joins them at the table, Mrs. Allerton says they should make a game out of identifying people from the ship's register. While Hercule is walking back to his room, he sees Jackie. He tells her he is unhappy to see her there because now she cannot turn back from what she has set out to do.

Analysis

Something has caused Tim Allerton to despise Hercule Poirot. Hercule seems to know that the end of the situation with Jackie, Simon and Linnet is the death of Simon and Linnet.
