Summary

In "Can't Forget," I, the narrator repeats the lines, "They killed me. They brought me back" for five pages. The narrator then escapes.

A first person narrator takes over, searching for words and meaning. He struggles to decipher what defines him, what he has created. He feels humanness means weakness.

He begins telling the story of a fox. The fox became an astronaut. The narrator also takes other forms, always trapped by the Company. He feels like a caged animal, his consciousness fighting for freedom. He does not know if he is the fox or if he is Charlie.

He recalls the terrible things the Company did to him. He wanted revenge, but his mind and body were out of his control.
