Summary

Chapter 1. Dash

Dash is in Strands, his favorite bookstore. He's looking through the shelves a few days before Christmas when he finds a notebook that dares the person who finds it to solve a couple of clues. Dash does and is fascinated with the feminine mind that could have made up the puzzle. For this reason, he plays along and leaves a message for the notebook girl, Lily.

Lily is sad that her parents have chosen to spend this Christmas away from home.
