Summary

In Chapter 3, when Jason arrives at what he believes is his home, he first notices that the door is different. Inside, more and more things are not like the home that he and Daniela made together. The house he enters is expensively decorated but lifeless. He notices several sketches done by Daniela Vargas hung on the walls upstairs. In the master bedroom a display case houses a gold coin with the image of Julian Pavia on it as well as a certificate acknowledging that Jason is the winner of the Pavia Prize. Jason is so disturbed by what he finds in his home that he is sick. He calls Daniela’s cell phone by a male voice answers. It is Daniela’s number, but does not belong to her.
