Daisy Jones

Daisy Jones is one of the novel's main characters, and was one of the two lead singers of the band Daisy Jones & The Six. Daisy's story unfolds over the course of the novel, beginning in her early teen years. Wealthy but neglected by her parents, Daisy began spending time at rock clubs on Los Angeles' Sunset Strip, where she got to know musicians, and even lost her virginity to a drummer when she was 14. She began writing songs and secured a record deal with Runner Records in 1973-4 when she was in her early twenties. When The Six, also signed to Runner, needed a female singer for one of their songs, their manager suggested Daisy.
