September 4, 1952. Mr. Grimmett tells the Harpers that Edna was never married before, and he is glad that he was able to get her married to a sailor. Daisy is angry and thinks Mr. Grimmett is lying about Edna. September 6, 1952. Daisy received a letter from Mr. Grimmett apologizing for the lies he told about Edna.
