Joyce's decision to host the Sewing Circus meetings at her own home has turned out to be especially gratifying. All of the regular girls attended that first meeting in the new location, and there was a freedom in the conversation that was never experienced when the meetings were held at the church hall. It's midnight when the last girls leave the house, and Ava returns home shortly after.
