Summary

Vivian notes that ever since Billy has returned to town, her Aunt Peg is drinking much more than usual. One night, Vivian comes home to find Aunt Peg passed out drunk to the point of unconsciousness. She, Edna, and Olive have to carry her up the stairs to bed, and Vivian notes the frustration Olive expresses toward Billy. It is clear to Vivian that Olive blames Billy for Peg's increased drinking.

During auditions for City of Girls, a young man named Anthony Rocella auditions for the male lead. Vivian explains that he was incredibly confident -- so confident that he did not even have to audition properly but instead talked his way into the part while standing on the stage.
