Summary

In Chapter 22, Rowan wakes to gunfire. Her vision is altered for a few moments, then clears. Greenshirts are entering the clinic. One enters the room where Lachlan and Rowan are. Rowan is hiding and the Greenshirt quickly pins Lachlan. Rowan puts a scalpel to his neck and Lachlan kicks upward. The scalpel slides smoothly into the Greenshirt's neck and he quickly dies. Flame is unhurt but furious. She says Rowan needs to rest, says she can clean up the mess at her clinic and urges them to leave. Flame warns that Rowan is now linked to EcoPan's systems and Rowan says Lark will give her a place to sleep.
