Part 4, True Wind: Chapters 29-37 and Afterward Summary

Charlie convinced Joe to let him use his boat to search for Tess. For this reason, Charlie finds himself on the boat with both a drunk Joe and Tink. However, it is late when they start up and Charlie is forced to miss his meeting with Sam. Charlie is saddened about this.

Charlie and Tink have no luck spotting any signs of Tess despite searching in the area where Charlie believes she has told him to look. Joe finally decides at dawn that it is time to give up despite Charlie's protests.

Sam crossed over when Charlie failed to show up and has now gained an amazing knowledge and freedom that he had missed before. Sam wants to help Charlie, however, and he flies over Joe's boat, trying to give Charlie...
