Act 2 Summary

The location is the same as in Scene 1 and takes place a few minutes after Scene 1.

Virgil is playing a cowboy ballad on his guitar. Bo is sulking. Cherie is reading a magazine. Elma and Dr. Lyman are chatting.

It turns out that Dr. Lyman was a professor at an East Coast College and holds extreme disdain for both the college and its students. He says that he is a Magna Cum Laude from University of Chicago, a Rhodes Scholar and has a Ph.D. from Harvard. He claims that he just could not take it anymore and resigned from the University and bought a ticket to go to Las Vegas.
