Relationships

One of the primary themes running through the novel is relationships. The novel reveals that even the individuals that make up a family have different relationships among the family members. For example, Elena seems to be very close with each member of her pack family, but Clay seems to have a few members, alive and dead, that resent him for turning Elena into a werewolf.

Friendship is another type of relationship the novel tackles. It seems as if the pack members are not only "family" but are also very closes friends. Even members outside of the pack have close bonds with some of the pack members. For example, Jaime and Elena are very close.
