Summary

In “Eddie From Tesco,” Irina meets Eddie at Pilgrim’s. She is disappointed “Will isn’t working” as she wanted “to ignore him” (120). When she orders the drinks, she asks the barista if she has ever had problems with Will “and female members of staff” (121). The barista gives her a free drink out of solidarity.

Eddie is awkward and shy. He and Irina talk about his primary school job. Irina talks about her work, asking why he wants to be involved. He blushes, saying how flattering it is that she wants to work with him. Afterwards, Irina texts Flo, who has been ignoring her.
