Chapters 13 - 15 Summary

Terry calls an old friend, Vernon Carruthers at Firearms and Toolmarks in D.C., and asks him to look at the ballistics in the two cases, explaining that the firearm has likely been used before. Then he calls Jaye and tells her that her casework was very thorough, but he still had questions. He explains how he cross referenced all 'three strikers' geographically. Jaye is unable to follow up, but doesn't exactly tell Terry not to either. He also brings up the fact that in both videos the killer says something. A lip reader had looked at both, she tells him, but couldn't positively tell what was said. He tells her about the DRUGFIRE program the FBI has, and suggests she use them for the spent casings from the crime scene. Then he suggests that the witness, James Noone be brought...
