Summary

“Glow Hunter” is narrated by a teenage girl, Sara, who is driving around Texas with her best friend Bo, whom she finds magnetically attractive. Bo and Sara have a mutual friend, Jeff, that Bo used to date. Jeff and Sara have been close since childhood because they live in the same neighborhood. Sara recalls three nights prior, when Bo was sleeping over at her house and the two had a sexual encounter. Sara is deeply infatuated with Bo, but is unsure to what extent those feelings are reciprocated. The two girls are driving around in rural areas looking for the kind of psychedelic mushrooms that grow on cow dung, and all the while Sara is wondering if and when Bo will want to have sex with her again.

As they drive, they talk about Jeff and his family. They are immigrants...
