Saratoga, New York

After Suleika visits countless doctors in Paris, she is sent back home to be with her parents in Saratoga, New York. Though she and her family lived in Saratoga for many years, the place still does not feel like home to Suleika. She is also only 22 years old, and longs to be on her. Over the course of the following months, Suleika is yanked between her parents' Saratoga home and Mount Sinai hospital. Sleeping in her childhood bedroom and being reliant upon her parents and boyfriend amplify Suleika's entrapment.
