Summary

Chapter 1 continues. Fumiko, impatient, tries to forcibly remove the ghost woman from the chair. The ghost woman’s face becomes angry; Fumiko suddenly feels a profound pain and is unable to move. Kazu offers the ghost woman more coffee, which the woman drinks. The pain and immobility is lifted from Fumiko. Kazu explains that the ghost put a curse on Fumiko, which is now lifted. Fumiko sits at a different table and watches the ghost woman, waiting for her to leave the chair. Fumiko becomes agitated when she realizes that another customer—an old man named Fusagi—is also waiting to use the time travel chair. However, a woman named Kohtake then enters the café. She appears to be Fusagi’s wife, and she persuades him to come back to the café another day.
