Happy Green Family Farm

The Happy Green Family Farm is the Iowa egg farm where the main characters choose to execute their heist, with the expectation that they will take and relocate all of its one million hens. They choose this farm because Annabelle is a member of the Green family and therefore has inside knowledge about the farm's operations. There are eight barns full of hens on the property, but the activists believe that two of them, Barns 7 and 8, have been depopulated. This turns out not to be the case and the entire heist is compromised when some of the activists set Barn 8 on fire.

The barns inside egg layer farms are filled with machinery, including loud industrial fans. The narrator describes the barns as "massive robot supercomputers...480 feet long, nearly a football field and a half...filling and unfilling with forty million eggs a year" (31). The sound...
