Section 2 (12A-22B) Summary

Caligula Minus joins Obelix and Asterix at their meal of boar. He tells them that he wants to know why they are so strong. Asterix decides to take Caligula Minus to see Getafix. Caligula Minus asks Getafix about the secret of the Gauls' strength, but Getafix refuses to share the secret with a stranger. Caligula Minus manipulates Getafix by insisting that he will attempt to return home, despite the threats of the Romans and that he will simply blame Getafix if he is captured again. Getafix resignedly agrees to show Caligula Minus the secret and allow him to taste it. When Caligula Minus sees the cauldron full of potion, he plots to steal it for the Romans. He tries the potion and lifts a huge rock. In exhilaration at his new-found strength, he throws the rock in the air...
