Chapters 4 through 6 Summary

In chapter four, David tells Mac that he's got all of Carpathia's offices, planes and other areas of the palace bugged. Mac says that David is "sitting on a time bomb," a fact of which David is already aware. David also says that he has a small disc in the main computer, the one called "The Beast," that is very compact and is recording everything that's picked up on any communication device and cataloguing the information. David says the files are encrypted so that no one could figure out how to access the data, even if the tiny disc were discovered. The two men agree that their time at their jobs is limited because of the impending Mark of the Beast.
