Chapters 32-40 Summary

Harry finds Kate dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Stacey's bedroom. Harry stays long enough for the scene to be cleared and then rushes over to the other Kincaid residence. Harry joins Rider and Edgar in Kincaid's home office where they are searching the computer and the rest of the room for evidence to back up Kate's statements. While they are in the office, Irving arrives and tells them to leave. Irving says that the case is closed and that Stacey Kincaid's death has nothing to do with Elias' death. Irving announces that they have gotten a ballistics match between the bullets recovered from Elias' body and Sheehan's gun. Once again it appears that Sheehan is the killer.
