Summary

In Chapter 6, even though Ethan has asked him not to do so, Alex has set him up with the music composer Yahvi. Ethan still keeps up with the number of days that has passed since Zoe last slept in his bed. Ethan and Yahvi do date. It is after she spends the night with him three times in a row that he decides to call in late for work. Before he is able to get back into bed with Yahvi, his phone rings. A male voice he faintly recognizes asks if he is speaking to Ethan Winter.

Ethan meets Dr. Leston at a chain café near his apartment. Dr. Leston seems thinner and unwell. He tells Ethan he needs to talk about Zoe. As Ethan orders coffee he notices that Dr. Leston takes several pills. He tells Ethan that Elizabeth’s condition has...
