Summary

As Danny and Prakash continue to speak to each other in the casino, Danny decides to talk about his past. Years ago, Danny relocated from Sri Lank to Dubai, as Danny’s father wanted Danny to find a job there. Danny worked for a year in a hotel in Dubai. When he returned home, government agents seized him at the airport, believing him to be a member of a Tamil rebel group known as Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE.) Different agents interrogated Danny for a long time, and they even resorted to physical torture. Danny has a scar on his arm from where an agent burned him with a cigarette. From that point on, Danny feared being targeted by the government, so he eventually fled to Australia. After telling this story, Danny hits Prakash in the face and then flees from the casino...
